Staying Active During Social Distancing

Our residents' health and well-being is our biggest concern at all times, but the precautions used are quite enhanced during this time. We are continuing to not have any congregate dining or group activities, and are still not able to allow visitors except in very specific circumstances.

As we continue to practice social distancing here at Orange Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, we are committed to not only providing for our residents' care needs and keeping them healthy but to also meet their psychosocial needs, and helping them stay engaged and active.

We've implemented creative recreational activities for them to enjoy, offer Skype video sessions with loved ones, have 1:1 sessions with our Director of Therapeutic Recreation and social worker, and staff assist with independent activities as needed.

To schedule a Skype session (available Monday-Friday 10:15am-4pm) please email OrangeHCSkype@gmail.com or call Shaileen or Melissa at the facility, 203-795-0835. We will keep in contact with you via telephone for any changes in your loved one's status, and also want to share that all of April's care conferences will be held as phone conferences. If your loved one is scheduled for April, you will receive an invitation in the mail. Please still respond and let us know the best number to use to contact you.

Thank you for your patience during this stressful time, and feel free to reach out with any questions.

We wish you all the best in health,
