History

Our facility was founded in February 1947 by Beverly Acampora RN.  Mrs. Acampora dedicated the next 55 years of her career to providing the best possible medical services to the members of our community and surrounding towns.

Mrs. Acampora was a founding member of the Connecticut Association of Health Care Facilities as well as an active member in the American College of Health Care Administrators.

As a graduate nurse of Grace New Haven Nursing School, now the Yale School of Nursing, Mrs. Acampora stressed the highest level of Skilled Nursing Services. Her patients and their care was her number one priority.

This tradition has continued for over 70 years. Orange Rehabilitation and Health Care Center has received the Center for Medicare Services premier 5 Star rating designating us among the country’s Best rehabilitation centers.

We remain a boutique facility of only 60 beds focused solely on delivering State-of-the-Art medical and rehabilitation services to a select group of clients.

Our standards for personalized service and comprehensive medical care has withstood the tides of corporate takeovers and we remain one of the longest-operating privately owned rehabilitation centers in Connecticut.

As the only Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Orange, we are committed to providing the community and surrounding area with the highest-quality care and services.

Our history and outcomes speak for themselves, and we take pride in the many exceptional outcomes of our patients and residents.
