Update 3-18-2020

During this time of heightened vigilance due to COVID-19 we are taking every precaution to keep your loved one safe and healthy. At this time we are still unable to allow visitors or items (including laundry, food, personal belongings, etc.) to be brought in to the facility for our residents.

All staff, doctors, transport personnel, and any others necessary to enter the facility to provide care and essential services are being screened for potential exposure to or symptoms of illness, including COVID-19. Anyone with a positive screening will be asked to leave and contact their health care provider. As of this time we have fortunately not had any positive screenings.

Our Social Worker is regularly meeting with and checking in on residents to offer support during this trying time. Our goal is to minimize the impact of social distancing, keep them engaged and positive, and encourage healthy expression of feelings.

Our Director of Therapeutic Recreation is also meeting with residents and providing opportunities for appropriate activities for each individual.

We have the capability to connect you with your loved one here at Orange Rehabilitation and Health Care Center through Skype video chat. Those who have used this service have told us they are so happy to be able to chat "face to face" and maintain connection, and our residents really love seeing their community family members. If you are interested in taking advantage of this, please set up an appointment during regular business hours Monday-Friday with one of our Skype facilitators by emailing OrangeHCSkype@gmail.com or calling the facility at 203-795-0835.

We hope you stay healthy, happy, and connected; feel free to call us if you have any questions.
