Post-Hospital Rehabilitation

Here at Orange Rehabilitation and Health Care Center our in-house rehabilitation therapy practitioners use a holistic perspective, in which the focus is on adapting the plan of care for each patient to fit the person, allowing the individual to be an integral part of the therapy team. Our aim is to restore patients to their highest level of functioning.

Whether you are in need of short-term rehabilitation or one of our long-term care residents, our skilled Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapist's provide high-quality and compassionate therapy programs.

Our Therapists have developed and implemented specialized programs which include:

Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Our physician-driven Pulmonary Rehabilitation program, led by our on-staff Respiratory Therapist, helps those who have been hospitalized with COPD, pneumonia, or other pulmonary issues experience optimal recovery prior to transition back home.

Orthopedic Rehabilitation

From joint replacement surgery to fractures, our therapists work with those requiring a short-term stay prior to returning home.

Stroke Recovery

Our post-stroke rehabilitative services can help those who have experienced a cerebrovascular accident regain lost functioning, such as mobility, speech, swallowing, cognition, and more.

Cardiac Recovery

People recovering from heart surgery, CHF, heart attack, or other cardiac events benefit from our cardiac recovery program.

Pain Management

Pain can accompany myriad other medical issues, and can often limit functioning and ability to perform tasks. Our therapy and nursing staff are well-versed in different pain management methods, ranging from our e-stim, diathermy and ultrasound machines, to appropriate medication use, to alternate techniques to reduce pain and enhance mobility and enjoyment of life.

Wound Healing

Our highly successful wound management program, led by an in-house physician wound specialist and our designated wound nurse, has a 100% healing rate. From complex dressings to wound vacs, our team is committed to restoring and maintaining healthy skin in our patients and residents.

Contracture Management

Contractures can develop when the muscles, ligaments, and tissues around immobile joints shorten, causing impaired mobility and range of motion. Our therapists have developed a contracture management program which assists in preventing them, or for patients who come to us with existing contractures, preventing further progression and damage.

Arthritis Management

Arthritis and its accompanying pain can limit functioning in the millions of Americans who have the disorder. With our in-house modalities such as diathermy, ultrasound, and e-stim, along with other rehabilitative and medical techniques, our physical and occupational therapists and nursing staff assist our patients in managing their arthritis.

Fall Prevention

Our physical and occupational therapists work closely with each individual patient and resident, along with the physician, nursing, and ancillary staff, to develop a plan to prevent falls, both in the facility and once the patient returns home.
